National Signing Day may have past, but the Aggies were not done adding to their 2026 recruiting class. They secured one more piece on Thursday, as four-star RB Carsyn Baker committed to Texas A&M just days after decommitting from the Florida Gators.
Baker, from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, GA, is ranked as the No. 211 player in the country, the No. 14 running back and the No. 23 player in Georgia. He had been committed to the Gators since June, but looked elsewhere following the coaching change from Billy Napier to John Sumrall. On the Aggies side, they likely began looking for one more running back in this class when four-star RB Jonathan Hatton decommitted last month in favor of the Oklahoma Sooners.
The Aggies now once again have two running backs in their 2026 class, with Baker joining national top 50 prospect K.J. Edwards. That depth will likely be needed as A&M stands to lose Le’Veon Moss, E.J. Smith and Amari Daniels from the current stable.
A&M’s 2026 class is ranked No. 9 nationally with 26 commits.
