Alabama football is not done adding players to its 2026 recruiting class.
Bryson Cooley, a four-star offensive tackle out of Laurel, Mississippi, has flipped his commitment from LSU and signed with Alabama on Dec. 5. Cooley had committed to the Tigers on July 4.
Alabama had extended an offer to Cooley on Feb. 12 and hosted the offensive lineman for an official visit May 30-June 2, per 247Sports.
Cooley is the No. 218 overall player and the No. 23 offensive tackle in the country per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is Alabama’s second Mississippi commit in this class, along with four-star defensive lineman Nolan Wilson.
Cooley is one of five offensive line commits along with Georgia four stars Chris Booker and Jared Doughty, Georgia three star Bear Fretwell and junior college commit Tyrell Miller.
With Cooley, Alabama now has the No. 4 recruiting class in the country per 247Sports’ composite rankings.

What Bryson Cooley commitment means for Alabama football
Alabama lands a high-profile tackle, one that could give the Crimson Tide more depth.
Alabama had tackles in Doughty, Fretwell and Miller, and a guard in Booker. But the Crimson Tide could lose as many as four starters on the offensive line after the 2025 season.
Cooley, a 6-foot-7, 315-pound tackle, gives the Crimson Tide another four-star option to develop as the turnover begins up front, especially after losing California four star Sam Utu.
