Rick Neuheisel came in hot with a bold prediction about the possible Big Ten Championship game matchup. Looking ahead to a No. 1 Ohio State and No. 2 Indiana contest, the CBS Sports analyst and former coach said he would take the Hoosiers to win.
“If I was taking the role of somebody sitting on that [College Football Playoff selection] committee here on that first Tuesday night, they’re going to go with Ohio State as the No. 1 team,” Neuheisel said. “But if I had to pick who was going to win that game, I’d take Indiana.”

The Buckeyes (8-0) and Hoosiers (9-0) appear to be on a course for the Dec. 6 Big Ten title game in Indianapolis. Both teams have dominated opponents but in different ways.
Ohio State ranks first nationally in scoring defense (6.9 points per game) and total defense (214.8 yards). Indiana, meanwhile, boasts the top-scoring offense (46.4 points) and ranks third in total yardage (504.9).
Each team is led by a Heisman-caliber quarterback. Julian Sayin for Ohio State and Fernando Mendoza for Indiana, who rank first and second in FBS passer rating, respectively.
Despite Ohio State’s unmatched tradition, the way Indiana is playing raise many questions on what might happen. The Buckeyes need to get past Michigan to make it all happen.
