For the second consecutive season, the Big Ten will have the top-ranked team in the College Football Playoff.

It just won't be the team that has widely been the projected top-seed in the 12-team bracket. Instead, it will be No. 2 Indiana (No. 2 in CFP rankings), who pulled off a stunning 13-10 upset over No. 1 Ohio State (No. 1 in CFP rankings) in the Big Ten Championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday, Dec. 6.

The win for the Hoosiers marks their first Big Ten title since they were co-champions in 1967, and their first win over Ohio State since 1988, when Heisman Trophy hopeful running back Anthony Thompson ran for 190 yards and four touchdowns in the 41-7 win.

Speaking of the Heisman, it was Indiana's Fernando Mendoza who emerged victorious from the highly anticipated quarterback matchup between himself and Ohio State's Julian Sayin. He completed 15 of 23 passes for 222 yards and one touchdown to one interception, compared to Sayin's 21-of-29 passing day for 258 yards and one score to one interception.

Here's how the Big Ten championship game may be reflected in the US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 rankings after Week 15:
