The Georgia Bulldogs (12-1) are the No. 3 seed in the College Football Playoff. Georgia is ranked behind No. 1 Indiana (13-0) and No. 2 Ohio State (12-1). Georgia’s playoff ranking should give the Bulldogs motivation entering the playoff since coach Kirby Smart can consider the selection committee to be doubters. Georgia is coming off a dominant 28-7 SEC championship win over Alabama.

“I don’t think anybody wants to see this version of the Bulldogs,” ESPN analyst Booger McFarland said. Georgia will have a bye in the first-round of the playoff. The Dawgs will make their playoff debut against the winner of the first-round game between the No. 6 seed Ole Miss Rebels and No. 11 seed Tulane Green Wave.

Georgia already beat Ole Miss 43-35 back in October in Athens. Ole Miss’ defense did not stop the Georgia offense all game and the Bulldogs outscored Ole Miss 17-0 in the fourth quarter. Georgia could play against an Ole Miss team that is without head coach Lane Kiffin, who took the head coach job at LSU.

Georgia is expected to play Ole Miss, who will be heavy favorites over Tulane. Ole Miss won 45-10 at Tulane earlier this season and will host the Green Wave.
