Oregon Ducks' potential CFP schedule announced

In 2025, the Oregon Ducks have played just one night game at Autzen Stadium. But even that wasn’t a traditional night game, as it was played at 6:00 p.m. PST on a Friday night instead of a Saturday night, coming against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Aside from the 1:00 p.m. season-opener, every other home game has been during the 12:30 p.m. CBS time slot. While having nationally televised games is not something to complain too much about, Duck fans have been robbed of a Saturday night game at Autzen.

But with the release of the first round schedule in the College Football Playoff, Oregon will host its first Saturday night game of the season. It will be on December 20 at 4:30 p.m. while being broadcast nationally on TNT and streamed on HBO Max.

With the Ducks claiming the No. 5 seed, they’ll take on the No. 12-seeded James Madison Dukes, who won the Sun Belt Conference.

After that, should they win, they would travel to Miami to play in the Orange Bowl on January 1 at 9 a.m. PT. A win in that game would lead them to the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, where they would play on January 9 at 4:30 p.m. PT. A win in that game would take them to the National Championship, which will be played in Miami at 4:30 p.m. PT on January 19.
