Memphis football will face NC State in the Gasparilla Bowl on Dec. 19.

The game will take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on Dec. 19 (1:30 p.m. CT, ESPN).

The Tigers (8-4, 4-4 American Conference) are coming off three straight losses and will have an interim coach in this game in Reggie Howard. He was named Memphis’ interim coach after Ryan Silverfield left for Arkansas. Southern Miss’ Charles Huff will replace Silverfield but will not coach the bowl game.

The Wolfpack (7-5, 4-4 ACC) won three of their last four games to end the regular season. Memphis and NC State have never met in football.

Memphis will also play at at Raymond James Stadium in 2026 when the Tigers play USF.

This will be the third straight year that Memphis has faced a power conference team in a bowl game. The Tigers beat Iowa State in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl in 2023, then beat West Virginia in the Frisco Bowl in 2024.

It will be Memphis’ first game against an ACC team since the Tigers beat Florida State in 2024.
