Ohio State drops after loss to Illinois in US LBM Coaches Poll

The latest US LBM Coaches Poll is out, and after the loss to Indiana in the Big Ten Championship Game, Ohio State has dropped to No. 3 behind new No. 1 Indiana, and just behind No. 2 Georgia, which beat Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.
It’s the first time since the poll was released after Week 1, when the Buckeyes beat then No. 1 Texas, that Ohio State has not been the top-ranked team. Rounding out the top ten behind those three are Texas Tech (4), Oregon (5), Ole Miss (6), Texas A&M (7), Oklahoma (8), Notre Dame (9), and Miami (FL) (10).
Despite the loss, the Buckeyes remained No. 2 in the latest CFP Rankings, will have a first-round bye in the Playoff, and will next be in action on New Year’s Eve in the Cotton Bowl Classic against the winner of No. 7 seed Texas A&M and No. 10 seed Miami (FL).
