Vero Beach football is chasing history this weekend in Miami.
Vero Beach (14-0) will play Lake Mary (11-3) in the Class 7A state championship game at Florida International University’s Pitbull Stadium in Miami on Saturday, Dec. 13.
The Fighting Indians are making their first FHSAA state championship game appearance since 1981, when Vero Beach won its only FHSAA football state championship.
Vero Beach’s ravenous fanbase snatched up every available ticket for the home stands at the Citrus Bowl within two hours ahead of the Indians’ 45-44 overtime victory over Miami Palmetto in the 7A state semifinals.
Pitbull Stadium touts an estimated capacity of 20,000 spectators, leaving plenty of room for Vero Beach fans willing to make the trip down to Miami.
Here’s a look at how Vero Beach football fans can buy tickets for the Class 7A state championship game:
Vero Beach football tickets
All tickets for FHSAA football state championship games are available exclusively through GoFan, an online high school sports ticketing platform.
Tickets purchased in advance of gameday are $17 while tickets purchased the day of the championship game will cost $20.
State championship game parking
According to the FHSAA, there is no charge for on-site parking at the FHSAA football state championship games in the designated parking lots.
However, attendees must find general parking at the Cuban Memorial and Red Lots outside the stadium to avoid potential fines for parking on FIU’s campus.
There is an additional ADA parking and VIP lot located adjacent to Pitbull Stadium.
All parking lots open 90 minutes before kickoff with spectator gates opening 60 minutes before each game.
