Is Auburn basketball ranked after Arizona loss? Where Tigers stand

AUBURN — Another blowout loss didn’t remove Auburn basketball from its top-25 standing, as the Tigers were ranked in both national polls Monday, Dec. 8.
The Tigers held firm at No. 24 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll and fell just one spot, to No. 21, in the AP Top 25 Poll following a 97-68 loss at then-No. 3 Arizona over the weekend. It put the Tigers at 1-3 against top-25 opponents, which includes losses to Houston and Michigan.
Auburn was one of six SEC teams ranked in this week’s Coaches Poll, following Alabama (No. 12), Vanderbilt (No. 14), Arkansas (No. 17), Florida (No. 18) and Tennessee (No. 20). Kentucky was one of two teams to fall out of the ranking, but it joined Georgia and Missouri as the three unranked SEC teams receiving votes.
