A Michigan State commit has just received a very competitive Big Ten offer. Penn State, under the direction of new head coach Matt Campbell, has offered Samson Gash.
Gash, a 4-star wide receiver attending Novi (MI) Catholic Central, received the offer he has long awaited. Gash is the son of Sam Gash, who played at Penn State from 1987-1991. He was selected in 8th round of the 1992 NFL Draft. The son of a Penn State legend, the legacy offer to Gash is going to be a hard one for the Spartans to compete with.
The in-state wide receiver is the lone recruit in the 2026 recruiting class that has not made his decision post coaching change. He decided to not sign during the early period, instead waiting for the February signing period to roll around.
During the course of his recruitment, the Spartans fended off Alabama and West Virginia to keep his commitment, but his father's school seems like a mountain too tall for MSU to conquer. Penn State, who only added two commits during the signing period, are going to be desperate to add to their class in February.
