Florida State football announced Monday that defensive lineman Mandrell Desir has been named to On3’s Freshman All-American team.
Right out of the gate, Desir has made an immediate impact alongside his twin brother, Darryll. In 12 games, Mandrell recorded 30 tackles, led the Seminoles with 7.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks, and added a forced fumble, a pass breakup, and a quarterback hurry.
Congratulations to Mandrell Desir on making the 2025 On3 College Football “True Freshman All-American Team”.
Many more awards to come in the future for both Mandrell & Darryll Desir. 🍢💯 pic.twitter.com/PmUW3L8OBj

His sack total ranked No. 9 in the ACC, the most among freshmen, and third nationally. It also tied for the third-most by a true freshman in FSU history and was the highest since former Seminole great—and current New York Giants edge rusher—Brian Burns in 2016.
FSU finished the season 5-7.
