AUBURN — Four members of head coach Alex Golesh‘s Auburn football coaching staff were made official Monday, Dec. 8, with the program announcing each of his coordinators and a pair of position coaches.
DJ Durkin will officially be Golesh’s defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. The former South Florida coach is bringing at least three on-field assistants with him in offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Joel Gordon, offensive line coach Tyler Hudanik and defensive assistant Brad Wilson.
The program also announced the hire of Andrew Warsaw as general manager.
“I’m excited to announce these first five hires as we continue building our staff here at Auburn,” Golesh said in a release. “Our approach has been really simple. We want elite people in every area of our program. Auburn has the resources to go get the best in the country, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
Golesh said Monday that, despite hoping to have his staff finalized in his first week on the job, it would “take a minute to get everything filled,” adding that, “there’s a ton of people that are still playing, a ton of people in the playoffs. You’re working through all of that.”
Here’s a breakdown of Auburn’s five announced hires.
