OXFORD — Kelvin Bolden was not at LSU for long.

Bolden, who was hired away from Ole Miss football in July to become to associate athletic director and assistant general manager at LSU, announced he is returning to the Rebels.

Bolden posted a social media video on Dec. 9 with the caption, “We’re back.” Shortly after, Ole Miss confirmed Bolden’s return with a video welcoming him back.

It did not specify Bolden’s role at Ole Miss. New coach Pete Golding is assembling a staff in the wake of coach Lane Kiffin’s departure to LSU on Nov. 30. Bolden was Ole Miss’ coordinator of recruiting strategy since 2022.

Bolden is a 2011 graduate at Southern Miss who is known as an excellent recruiter in the state of Mississippi.

No. 6 Ole Miss (11-1) plays in its first CFP game on Dec. 20 (2:30 p.m., TNT) against visiting No. 11 Tulane (11-2).

Although Golding has to prepare for the Green Wave, he has made strides putting together a staff and front office for the 2026 season. Former East Carolina offensive coordinator John David Baker will have the same role for the Rebels in 2026, according to reports on Dec. 9.
