Jim Mora a finalist for national coach of the year award

New Colorado State football coach Jim Mora is one of 12 finalists for the 2025 Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year.

The award is given annually to the top college football coach as voted by the Football Writers Association of America.

Mora is up for the award for the continued turnaround in his time at UConn. The Huskies went 9-3 in the regular season and 6-0 at home. UConn is 20-7 overall in its last 27 games.

The Huskies are top 20 in passing yards (sixth), total offense (18th), sacks (ninth) and turnover margin (fourth). He’s UConn’s first Eddie Robinson Award finalist.

The winner of the award will be announced Dec. 16.

He was hired to take over the CSU football program on Nov. 26.
