There is no doubt that Kyle Field and Aggie Park belong on the short list of the best venues for college football in the nation. With Texas A&M hosting Miami in the first round of the CFP, it was a no-brainer that ESPN would be bringing College Gameday to Aggieland.

It was announced Wednesday morning that the College Gameday crew will be in both Norman, Oklahoma, and Bryan-College Station on Saturday, December 20, for the two most compelling matchups in the opening round of the College Football Playoffs.

While exciting, if you believe in superstition, College Gameday has been dreadful for the Aggies. Since 2015, when hosting, they are 1-3, and overall, they hold a 1-5 record. They face a tough opponent and must play an error-free game to break this trend. There has been plenty of talk about rising to the occasion and finishing strong. Saturday, December 20, will be a chance to take that next step as a program.

College Gameday will kick off at 8 a.m. CT / 9 a.m. ET on ESPN.
