NORMAN — ESPN's "College GameDay" is headed back to Norman.

Oklahoma will host the nationally-televised pregame show during its first-round College Football Playoff home game against Alabama next Friday.

The last time the Sooners hosted "College GameDay" in Norman was during its home win over Michigan earlier this season.

The marquee matchup between two of college football’s blue bloods history will see the Crimson Tide face OU for the third time in nearly 13 months. The Sooners defeated Alabama 23-21 on the road on Nov. 15.

"College GameDay" coverage will begin at 5 p.m. on the University of Oklahoma’s South Oval before moving into Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19.
