On3 released its 2025 All-America team on Wednesday. Cornerback Mansoor Delane represented LSU football on the list. He is one of two SEC players named to the defense alongside Georgia linebacker CJ Allen. This All-American nod is likely the first of many for Delane, who recorded one of the best seasons on record for LSU defensive backs.
Delane ended the 2025 season, his first in Baton Rouge, as the SEC's highest graded cornerback. He finished the year with 45 tackles, 13 pass deflections, 11 pass breakups and two interceptions.
Prior to his time with the Tigers, Delane played three seasons at Virginia Tech and made 29 starts through 33 appearances. He made the All-ACC third team in 2024 before entering the transfer portal.
Under defensive coordinator Blake Baker, Delane elevated his game and is now considered a first-rounder for the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. He was named one of three finalists for the Jim Thorpe award, given annually to college football's best defensive back.
