Can a game put someone in the Hall of Fame? Well, maybe not, but if there were one guy who could have ever made that happen, it would be Michael Vick. Long before he donned a Philadelphia Eagles jersey, he led a team many were unfamiliar with to the doorstep of a championship trophy. All he had to do was conquer one of the best programs of an era.

No one will ever forget Michael Vick's night in the 2000 Sugar Bowl for the BCS National Championship. His Virginia Tech Hokies gave the Florida State Seminoles all they could handle in a losing effort.

Vick helped make Virginia Tech part of the national conversation. Once his time in Blacksburg was up, he had earned Big East Rookie of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year nods in 1999, along with the Archie Griffin Award.

He was the first pick of the 2001 NFL Draft. He earned four Pro Bowl nods and also the NFL Comeback Player of the Year and Bert Bell Award in 2010. He's currently the head football coach of the Norfolk State Spartans, and he recently received another prestigious honor.

Michael Vick lands among the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame inductees.

The votes have been tallied, and the announcement has been made. Michael Vick is part of the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame class.

MEAC Commissioner Sonja Stills offered her congratulations, as do the rest of us. This is undoubtedly a classy gesture.

Truthfully, every time we think of Michael Vick, we think about that furious comeback in that other Miracle at the Meadowlands, but now we have another fond memory. He now lives among college football's immortals.

Other inductees include the following: along with Montee Ball, Gregg Carr, Blake Elliott, Greg Eslinger, Jim Kleinsasser, Alex Mack, Terrence Metcalf, Haloti Ngata, Steve Slaton, Darrin Smith, Michael Strahan, Dennis Thurman, and Ryan Yarborough. Former head coaches Larry Blakeney, Larry Korver, Urban Meyer, and Nick Saban were also a part of this esteemed class.
