Even politicians are weighing in on Ohio State’s lack of offense in the Big Ten Championship loss against Indiana.
Columbus state senator Bill DeMora was asked about Ohio State’s 13-10 loss to the Hoosiers in a social media video published on Dec. 10. In his response, DeMora questioned the Buckeyes‘ offensive play calling from Brian Hartline. The Buckeyes’ offensive coordinator was announced as head coach of South Florida days before the Indiana game.
“If his mind’s already going to be gone, then he shouldn’t be here,” DeMora said in the video. “He’s a great recruiter, he’s a great coach, but now that he took another job, go do the other job and don’t worry about us.”
He also criticized special teams play from Ohio State, specifically Jayden Fielding’s missed field goal that would’ve tied the game late in the fourth quarter against the Hoosiers.
“The fact that we have over 50,000 students on campus and can’t find a (expletive) kicker on campus is a problem, okay?” DeMora said.
