Prominent college football analyst puts Oregon Ducks on upset alert vs. Iowa Hawkeyes

Through eight weeks, the Oregon Ducks have avoided what can eventually prove fatal for teams fighting for a spot in the College Football Playoff: a loss to an unranked opponent.
The Ducks, ranked sixth in the country and holding a 7-1 overall record, suffered their lone loss to the then-No. 7 Indiana Hoosiers, who have since planted themselves at No. 2 in the polls. It’s clear that loss alone won’t knock the Ducks out of the CFP; but another in their final four games could. The four-game stretch will come against the Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Golden Gophers, USC Trojans and Washington Huskies.
College football analyst Steve Muench, a co-host on The McShay Show hosted by former ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay, put the Ducks on upset watch ahead of their Week 11 matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes. The betting lines opened with Oregon as a 6.5-point favorite but have since dropped a point to 5.5.
Muench lauded the Hawkeyes’ ground attack led by quarterback Mark Gronowski, who makes up for his lack of passing ability (just four touchdowns versus four interceptions) with 11 rushing scores thanks to his tightly packed 6-foot-2, 235-pound frame.
He also poked holes in the Ducks’ passing attack that has struggled in two of their last three games and hasn’t fully unlocked wide receiver Dakorien Moore or tight end Kenyon Sadiq, “who should be putting up incredible numbers,” Muench remarked.
“Be careful Ducks,” Muench said, providing one final warning. “Don’t go in there thinking this is gonna be an easy one, because it’s not.”
If they’re not careful, the main goal that Oregon set out for themselves this season — winning a national championship — could be in serious jeopardy.
