The Georgia Bulldogs were so dominant in the SEC this year that even their former players are getting SEC recognition. Former Bulldog Damon Wilson II was selected to the second-team All-SEC as a member of the Missouri Tigers.
Wilson II was one of Georgia's most talented transfers from the 2025 cycle. With the Bulldogs, he had six tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in two years. He was the No. 3 overall transfer in the nation, and on. Jan. 6, 2025, he transferred to the Missouri Tigers, where he had a familiar connection.
Wilson II broke out with the Tigers, notching the third most sacks in the SEC (9.0). He also had 20 tackles and an interception vs. Vanderbilt. There were games he'd completely take over his opponent, such as Alabama, where he had two sacks against Alabama offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor.
Other Georgia players are being rewarded in other conferences. Former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck earned a spot on the All-ACC's third team with the Miami Hurricanes, and defensive back A.J. Harris earned an All-Big Ten honorable mention for his year with the Penn State Nittany Lions. It seems that regardless of where Georgia players go, Kirby Smart coaches them to do great things.
