One of the top high school football players in Cincinnati will have a new school to call home next season. Taft quarterback Monsanna Torbert announced on Dec. 12 that he would be at Princeton for his senior football season.

Torbert is currently a junior and was a two-year starter at Taft, leading the Senators to a regional championship in 2024 and an 11-1 record in 2025.

The move sends Torbert from Division IV Taft to Princeton in Division I. In two seasons at Taft, Torbert passed for over 3,600 yards and over 50 touchdowns with another 1,000 yards rushing.

Torbert is a four-star recruit by the 247Sports composite and he's ranked as the No. 11 player in Ohio for the 2027 class. He's received offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky and Iowa among others.

In 2025, Princeton won its third-straight Greater Miami Conference title and went 9-3, losing to Elder in the second round of the postseason.
