Coach Brent Venables and the OU football team are heading to the College Football Playoff.
The Sooners earned the No. 8 seed and will host No. 9 Alabama in a rematch from last month when the teams meet in the first round in Norman on Friday, Dec. 13.
The Sooners rebounded from losses to Texas and Ole Miss to finish the season with four consecutive victories — at Tennessee, at Alabama, vs. Missouri and vs. LSU.
