In a much-needed day for the Nittany Lions recruiting wise, three star QB Kase Evans officially announced his commitment to Penn State. This comes after he requested a release from Iowa State after Campbell’s departure.
This is not the only positive takeaway from the Nittany Lions‘ weekend in recruiting. Four other prospects, three coming on Sunday, also pledged this weekend. Three star safety Bryson Williams was the first, followed by three star DB Tyrell Chatman and three-star punter Lucas Tenbrock.
Evans though is the most interesting addition. He is the second quarterback Penn State have signed this cycle after they flipped Peyton Falzone from Auburn during the early signing period. Falzone and defensive end Jackson Ford were the only two commits Penn State had before the weekend’s huge haul.
In his high school career, Evans accumulated over 11,000 yards and 120 touchdowns. He is also the No. 60 quarterback in the 2026 class.
These moves move Penn State to 139th nationally in the recruiting class and gives them six signings for the cycle. Not the best considering their lofty standards, but it’s a positive start and sign for the Matt Campbell era.
