WisconsinLB Christian Alliegro plans to enter his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal. That comes as first reported by ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Monday morning.
“Wisconsin veteran linebacker Christian Alliegro intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he tells ESPN,” posted Thamel.
Alliegro had spent the past three seasons with the Badgers. He appeared in all but two games, in missing two games this past fall with a broken arm, while he was there, with a total of 35 games played, including eleven of those being starts, on the defense in Madison.
In his collegiate career there at linebacker, Alliegro posted 124 tackles, 14.0 of those being for loss with 8.0 sacks, along with three pass deflections. That includes 53 tackles this season, along with career-highs in the pass rush with 8.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks for the Badgers, which earned him, both from the media and from the coaches, an Honorable Mention as All-Big Ten in 2025.
A native of Darien, Connecticut, Alliegro played his high school football at Avon Old Farms in Avon. He was a Top-1,300 overall recruit there as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle. He also rated as a Top-130 LB as well as a Top-10 player out of the state of Connecticut. That’s according to Rivals’ Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
