Charles Scott Jr., the towering sophomore quarterback at Huguenot High School, has quickly become one of Virginia’s most compelling talents. Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 225 pounds, Scott is already breaking records for the Falcons.

His play earned him a spot as a finalist on the ALL-USA East Football Team, which will be revealed the week of December 22, and also makes him a finalist for the ALL-USA Football National Team that will be announced on December 30. Here is the full list of the quarterback finalists.

Sometimes, it’s hard to believe Scott Jr. is only a sophomore. His frame is already college-ready, and his poise under center reflects a maturity beyond his years.

This season, Scott threw for 3,594 passing yards and 41 touchdowns, averaging 276.5 yards per game while completing 178 passes on 284 attempts (62.7 percent). Even more impressive, he kept turnovers to a minimum, tossing just four interceptions all year.

Those numbers placed him first in Virginia and Division 4A, and ranked him 62nd nationally, according to MaxPreps.

Scott’s season was filled with highlight performances. Against Spotsylvania, he dazzled with 304 passing yards and two touchdowns, leading Huguenot to a dominant 52-10 victory. A week later, he carved up Louisa County’s defense with 284 yards and three scores, showcasing his ability to stretch the field.

Colleges have taken notice. According to 247Sports, Scott has already received 11 scholarship offers, including from Florida State, Virginia Tech, Syracuse and SMU. He’s made unofficial visits to programs like Florida and Tennessee, signaling that his combination of size, arm strength, and production makes him a coveted target for Power Five schools.

Beyond football, Scott is a multi-sport athlete who also plays basketball, further underscoring his athletic versatility. His highlights reveal a quarterback with a strong pocket presence, the ability to make throws on the run and a knack for delivering deep strikes with precision. Coaches rave about his leadership qualities, noting how he commands respect in the huddle despite his youth.

Scott might only be scratching the surface. At 15, he’s already competing against older, more experienced defenders and thriving. His sophomore campaign has positioned him as one of the top young quarterbacks in Virginia, and his recruiting buzz suggests he could become a household name in college football within the next few years.
