It’s the greatest time of the year, according to a lot of folks in this great country of ours. We are embarking on the College Football Playoff, college basketball has started, and we are in the midst of the holiday season.
Another thing that comes with this time of the year is the coaching carousel, and it doesn’t just involve head coaches but extends to assistant coaches and staff members as well. The Buckeyes have already wished offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Brian Hartline well as the new head coach of the USF Bulls, and have seen assistant offensive line coach Marcus Johnsonleave for Arkansas, but now, there is news of another departure.
Asssistant defefensive line coach Tony Washington Jr., who worked alongside defensive line coach Larry Johnson, will be leaving Columbus and heading to Lexington, Kentucky, to join new head coach Will Stein’s staff for the Wildcats. He’ll assume the role of outside linebackers coach and defensive line coach. The news was first reported by Pete Thamel of ESPN.

All of this just goes along with what it means to be playing this late in the season for a program like Ohio State. There are still visions of championship plums dancing in everyone’s heads, but there sure is a lot to juggle.
