A pair of Nittany Lions received some All-American nods on Monday from the Associated Press. The AP All-American teams for the 2025 season were released on Monday, and Penn State offensive lineman Olaivavega Ioane and running back Kaytron Allen were among the players honored.

Ioane was named a second-team All-American and Allen received third-team honors from the AP. This was the second All-America nod for Ioane after appearing on the Walter Camp Football Foundation’s All-American team as a second-team selection.

With Allen receiving AP All-American honors, Penn State is now home to 159 All-American players recognized by the NCAA in program history (the NCAA officially recognizes the AFCA, AP, FWAA, The Sporting News, and Walter Camp Football Foundation All-America teams).

While not recognized by the NCAA, Ioane did also receive All-America honors from CBS Sports recently as well.

Ioane has decided to opt out of Penn State’s upcoming Pinstripe Bowl, but a decision from Allen has not been shared publicly. Allen has accepted an invitation to participate in the Senior Bowl.
