Alabama football added another tight end through the transfer portal.
Josh Ford, a former Oklahoma State tight end, is transferring to Alabama after two seasons with the Cowboys, per On3. Ford entered the portal after Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy was fired Oct. 8.
He is the first transfer portal addition for the Crimson Tide ahead of the 2026 class.
The two-week, one-time transfer portal window opens Jan. 2.
What Josh Ford brings to Alabama football
In two seasons with the Cowboys, Ford, a 6-foot-6, 244-pound tight end, had 13 catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns. He’s played 572 snaps across two seasons. Most of his snaps were in pass or run block downs.
Ford only played in four games for Oklahoma State as a sophomore, leaving three seasons of eligibility remaining for the tight end.
Josh Cuevas, Peter Knudson and Brody Dalton will each exhaust their collegiate eligibility after the 2025 season. Alabama had a two-tight end 2025 class in Marshall Pritchett and Kaleb Edwards, and also added four star tight end Mack Sutter in 2026.
