2027 Cincinnati linebacker names Tennessee football in top six schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star linebacker Antwoine Higgins named Tennessee in his top six schools, along with Indiana, Alabama, Texas A&M, Syracuse and Ole Miss, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect is from Anderson High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 10 linebacker in the class and No. 3 player in Ohio.

Tennessee offered Higgins a scholarship on Jan. 23, 2024. He has unofficially visited Tennessee seven times, most recently for the Vols’ football game versus Oklahoma on Nov. 1.

UMass was the first school to offer Higgins a scholarship on Nov. 14, 2023. Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include West Virginia, Arkansas, Oregon, Wisconsin, Illinois, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Duke, Michigan, Louisville, Missouri, Michigan State, Maryland, Auburn, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Oklahoma and Stanford.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
