The No. 3 seed Georgia Bulldogs are awaiting their opponent for their College Football Playoff Quarterfinal game at the Sugar Bowl.
While the Dawgs are preparing for either No. 11-seeded Tulane or No. 6-seeded Ole Miss, they are also conducting roster evaluations and preparing for the opening of the college football transfer portal. The portal doesn’t technically open until Jan 2. but On3 has reported that over 700 players and counting have announced their intentions to transfer.
The Bulldogs already brought in the No. 5 recurring class in the country, but are expected to be active in the transfer portal. Although the portal isn’t officially open for business, the Bulldogs have already been linked to an elite transfer.
As reported by On3’s Pete Nakos, the Bulldogs were named as one of the teams to watch for LSU offensive lineman transfer Carius Curne. Ranked as the No. 2 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2025, Curne started five games for the Bayou Bengals.
“The 6-foot-5, 320-pound offensive lineman played in seven games in 2025 as a true freshman,” wrote Nakos. “He’s arguably the biggest transfer portal exit to this point for LSU and new head coach Lane Kiffin. Sources tell On3 that among the early schools to watch are Arkansas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Georgia and Kentucky.”
According to PFF, he logged a pass blocking grade of 58.1, had a run blocking grade of 63.6 and an overall grade of 58.6. Despite the underwhelming grades, he is renowned for his athleticism at his size, and could be a monster addition for Georgia.
