Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to four-star Illinois quarterback commit Kamden Lopati on Wednesday.

“After a great conversation with coach Josh Heupel and coach Joey Halzle, I am grateful and humbled to have been offered by the University of Tennessee,” Lopati announced.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect is from West High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 14 quarterback in the class and No. 3 player in Utah.

Illinois offered Lopati a scholarship on April 24. He committed to the Fighting Illini on July 27.

Iowa State was the first school to offer the 2027 prospect a scholarship on April 2, 2024. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Boston College, San Diego State, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Utah, Oregon, Arizona, Arkansas, Purdue, Houston, Utah State, California, Washington, UCF, Colorado and Stanford.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife.
