Michigan State football 're-offers' highly-coveted in-state prospect

The new Michigan State football coaching staff has reaffirmed their interest in a highly-coveted in-state prospect in the 2027 class.

Darryl Flemister of Detroit announced on Thursday that he's been re-offered by Michigan State. He announced the offer from the new Spartans coaching staff via a post on social media.

Michigan State initially offered Flemister in October of 2023 under former head coach Jonathan Smith.

Flemister is currently an unranked athlete in 247Sports' rating system. He plays for Detroit Martin Luther King High, and is listed at 6-foot-0 and 160 pounds, according to 247Sports.

Michigan State is one of more than 20 schools to extend an offer to Flemister, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Auburn, Cincinnati, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ole Miss, Oregon, Pitt, Purdue, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
