Ohio State's Path to the National Championship Could Make them the Kings of the SEC

Ohio State has an opportunity to do the funniest thing in this College Football Playoff.
There is a chance that the Buckeyes have to face three straight SEC schools to be crowned the 2025 champion.
According to ESPN, that would make them the best team to ever step foot on the football field.
Ohio State's path to the 2024 title started with the Tennessee Volunteers coming to Columbus for what turned into an old-fashioned beatdown. The Buckeyes also got a win over the Texas Longhorns in the semi-final so they finished last year with a 2-0 record against the Southeastern Conference.
With the way that this year's bracket is laid out, it is likely that the Buckeyes will get the opportunity to beat three SEC teams in the three games that they need to win to repeat.
Round two for Ohio State will be the winner between Texas A&M and Miami. The Aggies somehow got the luckiest schedule in all of the SEC this season. They didn't play one SEC opponent that would be considered a Top-7 SEC team. Every team they played finished somewhere between 8 and 16 in the conference.
It wasn't like the Aggies dominated their schedule, either. They had the miraculous comeback against South Carolina and single digit wins against Auburn and Arkansas before getting beat by Texas.
They feel like they have built a house of cards and their true identity is on the verge of coming out.
In the semifinal, Ohio State is going to play Georgia. The Bulldogs get a relative cakewalk to the Fiesta Bowl as they will play either Ole Miss or Tulane in their first game.
The Buckeyes will get their chance at the top "dawg" in the SEC with the right to the National Championship on the line.
It would take a mini miracle for an SEC team to reach the College Football Championship from the other side of the bracket because it would mean wins over Indiana and Oregon or Texas Tech.
But, crazier things have happened.
Several are selecting Alabama to play the hero against the Indiana Hoosiers if they make it to Pasadena.
If Ohio State gets three straight SEC opponents and knocks down three in a row, the argument will be over. The SEC will forever and always be considered the little brother to not only the Big Ten, but specifically to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
