The Pop-Tarts Bowl has quickly become a fan favorite, and this year, Georgia Tech is leaning into the fun.

On Friday, the Yellow Jackets unveiled a new, Pop-Tarts-themed helmet that they will wear during this year's game against BYU on Dec. 27 in Orlando. The helmets feature a stripe down the center that resembles the sprinkles on a Pop-Tart, and they also have sprinkles inside the lettering of the logo on the side of the helmet.

This will be the third iteration of the Pop-Tarts Bowl under the current sponsorship deal, and the game is no stranger to viral moments — primarily, the "edible mascot," which is lowered into a giant toaster and consumed by the winning team.

That will have to serve as a consolation prize for the victor of the game, given the fact that both teams were involved in the playoff race late into the season. The Yellow Jackets led the ACC for much of the year before taking two late conference losses that bounced it from the championship game.

Who knows — maybe Georgia Tech's creative helmet decision will inspire other one-off bowl game-themed uniform and helmet designs.
