There were some rumors earlier this month that Notre Dame could be adding another player to its group of twenty-seven signed prospects in the 2026 class, and that came to fruition on Friday afternoon.
Teddy Jarrard, the 2027 Irish quarterback commit had been kicking around the idea that he would reclassify to the 2026 class, and it came true as the work week comes to a close as reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett. The 6-foot, 3-inch and 190-pound Georgia native got a late ranking into the class by 247Sports, as he’s the No. 310 overall prospect now.
There was a clear need for this to happen after both Kenny Minchey and Anthony Rezac both will be entering the portal. This most likely ends the idea that Notre Dame will try and recruit a transfer, but the coaching staff could opt to bring in someone with experience to mentor the younger players.
Regardless of that, Jarrard will now join the 2026 Notre Dame class, and will look to get a head start on his collegiate career.
