The Georgia Bulldogs are a top candidate for a major SEC transfer. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Georgia is a serious candidate to land LSU offensive lineman Carius Curne.

Curne is the No. 6 overall transfer in the portal right now. As a freshman, he still has at least three years of eligibility. Georgia could use his services, with left guard Micah Morris running out of eligibility.

“The 6-foot-5, 320-pound offensive lineman played in seven games in 2025 as a true freshman,” wrote Nakos. “He’s arguably the biggest transfer portal exit to this point for LSU and new head coach Lane Kiffin. Sources tell On3 that among the early schools to watch are Arkansas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Georgia and Kentucky.”

The 6-foot-5, 320-pound tackle was a four-star recruit from the class of 2025. He was the No. 3 interior offensive lineman and No. 67 overall prospect from that class, but LSU transitioned him to offensive tackle instead of guard or center. He had a 58.6 PFF grade in his freshman season, including a 63.6 run-blocking grade and 58.1 pass-blocking grade. He started the last five LSU games, so he has some good starting experience to take with him on the portal.

As mentioned, Georgia could use him in 2026, with Micah Morris running out of eligibility. However, he could be more useful in 2027, with Monroe Freeling and Earnest Greene III out of eligibility in 2026. Both Freeling and Greene face NFL draft decisions.

The transfer portal doesn’t open until Jan. 2, 2026 and closes on Jan. 16, 2026. However, if Georgia were to make the semifinal or championship, their players would get an extra five days after the Bulldogs’ season ends. Georgia cornerback Daniel Harris and tight end Pearce Spurlin have already stated their intentions to transfer.
