It's official, Ohio State and Miami will face off in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals. The two teams have squared off a total of only five times, with the Buckeyes having the edge three games to two, although the official record books give OSU just two wins, as the 2010 season was vacated. Of course, the most famous meeting between the two storied programs came on January 1, 2003, as Ohio State shocked the world by beating the heavily favored Hurricanes to complete an undefeated season and claim its first national championship since 1968.

Since that time, Miami has been somewhat irrelevant, leading many fans to say that the Buckeyes broke "The U." However, the past is in the past, and Ryan Day and Ohio State have their eyes focused on a bigger prize. But to get there, business must be taken care of in Dallas on New Year's Eve.

One of the most, shall we say, confident fan bases in all of college football will surely bring the fire when smack-talking Buckeye Nation. But until then, we give you the best social media reactions to seeing the 'Canes as the Ohio State opponent in the Cotton Bowl.
