The Oregon Ducks were once again in the running for the Joe Moore Award, given to the best offensive line in the nation for the college football season. Once again, the award unfortunately went to someone else.
On Monday, it was announced that the Iowa Hawkeyes were winning the Joe Moore Award for the second time in program history, and the first time since 2016. This was the third straight year that Oregon was named a finalist for the award.
Anchored by center Logan Jones, who won the Rimington Trophy over Oregon's Iapani Laloulu for the nation's best center, and was named a First-Team All-American at the position, the Hawkeyes were among the nation's best in the trenches.

Meanwhile, the Ducks certainly had a case for winning the award, anchored up front by Laloulu and AP All-American Emmanuel Pregnon at the left guard spot. Oregon also got phenomenal production from transfer Alex Harkey and Isaiah World at the tackle positions.
"They just show up every single day," offensive coordinator Will Stein said on Saturday after Oregon's CFP win over James Madison. "Credit to them. Credit to A'lique, credit to all those guys in that room that just really pour into each other and it's a fun group to coach."
