TV announcers named for Tennessee-Illinois football game

No. 23 Tennessee (8-4, 4-4 SEC) will conclude its 2025 football season in the Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl.
The Vols will face Illinois (8-4, 5-4 Big Ten) on Dec. 30. The Fighting Illini are receiving 10 votes in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
Kickoff between the Vols and Fighting Illini is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. EST at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Tom Hart (play-by-play), Jordan Rodgers (analyst) and Cole Cubelic (sideline) will be on the call.
Tennessee is playing for its fourth consecutive nine-win season for the first time since doing so in five straight campaigns from 1995-99.
The Music City Bowl will also mark the Vols’ sixth consecutive season to play in Nashville, dating to the 2020 campaign.
The Music City Bowl will be Tennessee’s ninth all-time football game at Nissan Stadium. The Vols are 6-2 at Nissan Stadium and fifth-year head coach Josh Heupel has a 1-1 record.
