STILLWATER — Oklahoma State’s offensive coaching staff under Eric Morris is one step closer to being filled, with Tuesday’s announcement that offensive line Cody Crill will follow Morris from North Texas.

Additionally, Mike O’Guin from Texas State has been added as an assistant defensive line coach, per the university press release.

Crill's past experience includes a stint as a head coach at the junior college level and a year in the XFL. In between, he spent four years as Morris’ offensive coordinator at Incarnate Word, where they worked to build the Cardinals into a 10-win team.

Crill's addition leaves OSU with tight ends as the lone position coaching spot unfilled on the offense.

O’Guin began his career with a three-year stint as a student assistant at SMU after an injury ended his playing career. He was a graduate assistant at Texas Tech in 2019, where he crossed over with new OSU defensive coordinator Skyler Cassity.

O’Guin spent a season at Notre Dame, then two at Sam Houston before landing in his most recent position as the defensive line coach at Texas State.

At OSU, he and Ike Eguae will assist defensive line coach Greg Richmond with the fronts. Under O'Guin's leadership, Texas State set its FBS program record for sacks in a season with 40 in 2023.
