With the Texas A&M season officially wrapped up, players are now beginning to make decisions about their future plans. Playing time and coaching changes are two of the leading reasons players enter the portal, and most of the time, we never get a clear answer. However, transfers are inevitable, and another Aggie defender is looking for a fresh start.

On Wednesday, Jaxson Callaway of On3Sports reported that redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Rylan Kennedy is expected to transfer when the portal opens in a few weeks.

The former three-star remained through the coaching change and has shown a lot of promise. There was a good chance he might have been able to be a bigger part of the rotation. However, with all the coaching changes on defense, a fresh start might be exactly what he needs, and he will still have two years of eligibility remaining.
