Georgia QB Gunner Stockton Announces Career News on Wednesday

Gunner Stockton and the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs secured their fourth-consecutive win in Week 10, jumping to 7-1 on the 2025 college football season and 5-1 in SEC play after a 24-20 win over DJ Lagway and the Florida Gators in The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Stockton led the way for coach Kirby Smart’s squad, throwing for 223 yards, two touchdowns and an interception against the SEC rival.

Stockton, a junior quarterback from Tiger, Georgia, earned the starting job this season following Carson Beck’s transfer to the Miami Hurricanes. He gained valuable big-game experience last year filling in for an injured Beck, appearing in both the SEC Championship and the College Football Playoff. Through eight games this season, Stockton has completed 161-of-229 passes for 1,776 yards, 12 touchdowns, and two interceptions, while adding seven more scores on the ground.

Being the starting quarterback for a powerhouse like Georgia has allowed Stockton to expand his NIL portfolio, signing deals with several companies, including Associated Credit Union, HEYDUDE Footwear, and Raising Cane’s. On Wednesday, Stockton added to that list, announcing a new partnership with Whataburger and Dr Pepper, showing off their new milkshake.

“What’s up guys, it’s Gunner Stockton,” Stockton said. “Shoutout to Whataburger and Dr. Pepper for having me. I’m here at Whataburger to try the blackberry shake. You know what’s better than a dual-threat quarterback? A dual-threat meal. Whataburger and the Dr. Pepper blackberry shake, no better dual-threat. Shoutout to Whataburger and Dr. Pepper. Thanks for having me.”

“no better dual threat than @whataburger and the @drpepper blackberry shake,” Stockton wrote on Instagram.

Up next for Stockton and Georgia, a Week 11 matchup with the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday at noon ET.
