Former Wisconsin wide receiver Skyler Bell, who just finished his second year at UConn, was named a consensus First-Team All-American last week.

Bell is the Huskies‘ first-ever player to earn the designation, according to the program. He received the honor following a career year in 2025, which included 101 receptions, 1,278 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. He fell just 13 yards short of San Jose State’s Danny Scudero (1,291) and one touchdown short of Georgia Southern’s Camden Brown (14) for the highest receiving and touchdown total in the Football Bowl Subdivision, respectively.

The former Badger opted to return to UConn for his senior season, passing up significant NIL offers from major programs. That bet paid off, as Bell delivered arguably the best all-around season of any wideout in the sport and raised his draft stock significantly.

Bell previously appeared in 26 games over three seasons at Wisconsin from 2021-23. His best year with the Badgers came in 2022, when he totaled 30 receptions, 444 yards and five touchdowns. It’s safe to say that Wisconsin’s receiving corps was underrated at the time, given Bell’s current success and former Badger Chimere Dike’s NFL Pro Bowl honor following his breakout rookie season.
