Weather for Clemson vs Penn State Pinstripe Bowl could be ugly

The weather for Saturday’s Pinstripe Bowl matchup between the Clemson Tigers and Penn State Nittany Lions at Yankee Stadium could make for some pretty ugly conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday’s high in the Bronx will be 30 degrees with a 30 percent chance of snow. New York has been under a winter storm warning since Friday.

Per ABC News:

“Snow will begin in western New York on Friday morning and reach New York City by 5 p.m. Friday. The snow will be heavy at times and will greatly reduce visibility, making travel treacherous. The snow will continue overnight, ending in New York City around 9 a.m. New York City is forecast to get about 7 inches of snow — the most snow in nearly four years.”

Is snow forecast for Clemson vs. Penn State game?

According to the National Weather Service, most of the snow in New York will end before kickoff around 7 a.m. ET:

“A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly before 7am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a steady temperature around 30. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Northeast wind 7 to 13 mph.”

As for how cold Saturday’s game will be, AccuWeather’s “RealFeel” temperature is listed as 17 degrees at kickoff.

Clemson-Penn State is scheduled for a noon ET kickoff at Yankee Stadium. The game will be televised on ABC. Dave Pasch and Dusty Dvoracek will call the game for ABC. Taylor McGregor will report from the sidelines.
