In the past, Iowa has unveiled alternate jerseys for some of its biggest games of the season. And that tradition will continue this year.
The newly ranked number twenty Hawkeyes will take on the ninth-ranked Oregon Ducks at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday afternoon. With a win, Iowa would firmly establish itself as a contender to make the College Football Playoff and finally end an 11-game losing streak against ranked opponents. A loss would render that hope completely obsolete.
With a game this important coming up, it's no surprise that alternate jerseys are in play for Iowa. The question all week has been which uniforms the Hawkeyes would rock against the Ducks. Kirk Ferentz answered that question on Wednesday night, revealing that Iowa will be wearing all-black uniforms on Saturday afternoon.

It's unclear which version of the all-black uniforms Iowa will be wearing on Saturday. They wore some all-black uniforms two weeks ago in their 41-3 win over Minnesota at Kinnick Stadium. Ferentz did not elaborate whether Saturday's uniforms will be the same or have their own unique twist.
The other question about the uniforms will pertain to the helmet. In the past, the Hawkeyes have donned special American flag-themed Tigerhawks on their helmet for Veterans Day. Those helmets are definitely an option for Iowa against Oregon, but Ferentz didn't confirm if they'd make an appearance or not.
Oregon has also revealed its uniforms for Saturday's game. The Ducks will be rolling with white jerseys that have green numbers and the patented Duck on the shoulder pads, green pants, and green and white alternate helmets, per a hype video released to X.
