FSU has seen plenty of roster turnover since its season ended in November, well before the transfer portal opens in January.
Those changes now include another starter, with running back Gavin Sawchuk reportedly set to depart the program after just one year in Tallahassee.
On3’s Hayes Fawcett was the first to report the news.
In 2025, Sawchuk was the team’s second-leading rusher (behind quarterback Tommy Castellanos), logging 486 yards and eight touchdowns, alongside 13 receptions for 121 yards and score.
With the expected departures of Sawchuk and Kam Davis (who previously announced intentions to transfer), FSU currently has Ousmane Kromah and Sam Singleton Jr. returning to its running back room, with the Seminoles having signed four-star prospect Amari Thomas as part of its 2026 signing class.
