LSU offensive lineman DJ Chester will enter the transfer portal, according to a report from Rivals. He spent three seasons with the Tigers and will depart with two years of eligibility remaining.

Chester made the biggest impact in 2024, starting all 13 games at center and finishing as a Freshman All-SEC honoree as a redshirt freshman. He played in all but one offensive series in 2024 and saw every snap in 12 of the 13 games.

Coming into 2025, Chester had the most returning experience on the offensive line. However, he fell down the depth chart and played in just seven games. Chester played all across the interior as LSU dealt with multiple injuries.

A four-star prospect in the 2023 signing class, Chester ranked as the cycle's No. 7 interior offensive lineman and the No. 9 player out of Georgia.

Paul Mubenga, Coen Echols, Carius Curne and Ory Williams preceded Chester in entering the transfer portal. LSU head coach Lane Kiffin will need to rebuild the unit ahead of spring workouts.
