2025 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl
Matchup:Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Duke Blue Devils
Date:Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025

Stadium:Sun Bowl — El Paso, Texas

Game Overview
The Sun Bowl has been played every single season since 1935, save for its cancellation in 2020.
Thurman Thomas (1987), Priest Holmes (1994) and Jayden Daniels (2019) are just a few of the notable names who have taken home the game’s MVP.
Arizona State and Duke will look to add someone to that list on Wednesday.
Team Overviews
Arizona State Sun Devils
Conference:Big 12
Head Coach:Kenny Dillingham
Record:8–4
Arizona State is a shell of itself.
Kenny Dillingham, who just signed a contract exension with the school, will have his work cut out for him as he enters this game without quarterback Sam Leavitt, wide receiver Jordan Tyson, offensive lineman Josh Atkins, and defensive backs Javan Robinson and Xavion Alford.
The Sun Devils will lean on a combination of veteran quarterback Jeff Sims and freshman quarterback Cam Dyer in an effort to finish their season strong.
Duke Blue Devils
Conference:ACC
Head Coach:Manny Diaz
Record:8–5
Duke is coming on at the right time, as the 2025 ACC Champions capped off their season with victories over North Carolina, Wake Forest and Virginia.
The Blue Devils are in a much better spot with injuries and opt outs, though they will almost certainly miss offensive lineman Brian Parker II, defensive back Chandler Rivers and defensive lineman Vincent Anthony Jr.
